South Downs Access Forum

Why a South Downs Access Forum?Sheep grazing
A new South Downs Access Forum has been established to advise local authorities on the improvement of public access and recreation. It is the first forum dedicated to an AONB in England, demonstrating positive partnership working between the South Downs AONBs and local authorities.

Click here for information on walking, cycling, horse riding in the South Downs, or the Protecting Section for information on protecting and conserving the natural beauty of the Downs.

Foum Members
The Forum consists of voluntary representatives from a range of recreational users, landowners/managers, and other interests such as tourism, transport, and social inclusion.
The South Downs Access Forum is currently looking for new members to join the Forum, particularly those with special interests in disabled access, ethnic minority groups, sport, or sustainable transport. If you are interested in this and would like to know more contact the Forum Officer James Ort.
