From the bus stop follow the road bearing left up the hill to the roundabout at the top. Go straight across both roundabouts, over the bypass, leaving the road to walk up the embankment and diagonally across the field. Follow the path until you reach the Ditchling road. Cross the road with care into the car park. Go through the car park and follow the road between the two lodge houses, down the hill. After about 100 metres turn sharp left at the waymark post where you will enter the woods. At the end of the woodland cross the two stiles and follow the hedge line. Go across the next stile just past the dew pond and follow the path through the trees. At High Park Corner turn right following the arrows to Millbank. Past the buildings a flint wall is on your left. After walking under the electricity wires at Millbank turn right down the hill towards Stanmer village. Once at Stanmer village turn right at the pond and follow the road up the hill. (cafe and toilets in the village). The road will bring you back to the Upper Lodges car park and from there just follow your original route back across the road, through the field, over the bypass and down the hill to the bus stop. ©Crown Copyright LAO76902
